A humble Start

From a young age AvDenn Games CEO Travis Dennison always had a passion for making his own games. It started with a set of hand made trading cards drawn on note cards. The wacky cards were a hit with his brother and their friends at school. but soon proved to be too much for an elementary school boy to keep up with.

Throughout middle school, Travis would continue to create different games for his friends and he to play.

Years later in high school, Travis started making handmade dice and chess board in shop class.

While serving in the United States Army, where Travis would eventually meet Sean Bland; Travis made paper chess and checker sets as well as hand made playing card decks for his fellow platoon mates when they weren’t easily accessible.

In 2017, using hand made pieces and bits form a variety of different games, Travis would make his first fully realized tabletop game. A zombie horde survival rpg, complete with character classes, weapons and equipment as well as zombies and other enemies for players to fight. Lacking the funding to make the game a commercial success, and not yet knowing about Kickstarter, Travis had to shelve this idea indefinitely.

Throughout the next 4 years, Travis would create and run various homebrew games of Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Outbreak; Undead, and Zombicide, while growing his own personal collection of card and board games. But no matter what game he got his hands on, it still felt like something was missing from the game market.

In the summer of 2021 Travis began working on a game that would constantly evolve until it would finally become the kind of game he had been yearning to play: Plan:Z. Armed with a prototype, hours of test play experience with friends and family, and his knowledge of Kickstarter, Travis decided to finally start a gaming company and crowd fund his flagship title.

With that decision, AvDenn Games was born.
